One of the motorcycle forums I belong to is a guy who, with the recent ice storm here in AR, tried to cut a limb with a skill saw.. enjoy (http://picasaweb.google.com/Dragon43/Thumb#)

This applies to me, too, so I don't feel too bad saying it- "if your gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough".

Yeah it looks like he was trying to cut a "limb" off. If you consider a thumb a limb.
Glad he's alright. Good thing he didnt have a skirt on Doc that saw could have bucked and,, well you get the picture.

Your buddy gets the "wrong tool for the job dip****!" award. Feel sorry for your bud but he looks old enough to know better than that.
Healing nicely though, hope he's right handed :D

That looks like how I got my first real job some guy ran his finger through a table saw and they had to fill his spot.

Man that's rough, I hope the dude is doing O.K. Bet he would have rather of had his thumb up his butt at the time. Were they able to save it?

Always use the right tool for the right job...
A lesson learned the hard way by another moron- I mean, gentleman, who was on the local news here in MA about a month ago. His house caught on fire after he was trying to melt large icicles off his gutters and the side of his house... with a blow torch. ("What do you mean my house will burn if I hold an open flame to it?!?" lol)
I really hope his wife kicked his a$$.
