8 lug rims

I know that on 5 and 6 lug rims, there are different spread sizes. But, is it that way on 8 lug rims? Seems to me that I heard in the past that all 8 lugs are the same, but I wanted to know for sure.

Ford switched to an 8 x 170mm bolt pattern in '99. After '05 the backspacing changed on the Fords. I think the others are still all the same 8 x 6.5 inch I think is that pattern.
