Metallica used to rock. I haven't been able to get into their stuff since "Load" came out. That album (Load) still had the Metallica sound, but not the feel. "Don't Tread on Me" started to go mainstream, and Load just progressed it. Haven't been able to listen to much of it since.
Puppets was an awsome album, but I think Justice was the best. After that it started going down.

Metal has two purposes in this world, to be played loud, and to be bent to my will. :kwrangln:

That's a zen quote right there, I expect to see that in my next fortune cookie...
I like Metallica's older stuff too.. (I can say the same for Weezer, Green Day, and a lot of other bands..)

Go for it, I stole it from somewhere on the web.
Just as an aside, I use that quote as my signature for all the emails I send at work on the govt computers. I've been suprised to get a few replys saying it was an awesome quote. Just wish I knew who to credit for it.

Correct...sorta.
Metallica jumpd the shark when they came out with the video for "One". The band died with Cliff...

That was definitely the start. "Justice" was the point where someone in the band had made a big pitcher of pop culture Kool-Aide. The evidence that other members had been drinking form that pool of non-sense was more obvious in the black album. With "Load", the entire band, management, roadies, and the bus driver were drunk on the stuff.
