been doing some thinking. i'd like a little more instrumentation in my JK. there are some cool OBD2 aux gages on the market. i like the "normality" of the aerogage, but the scangage is way cheaper.... not sure if i want the whiz-bang-oooo---aaahhh of the PLX unit.

since they are all OBD2 units and not model specific... i'm asking here. any of you guys run them?

I've had a dual Aeroforce setup in my Grand Prix since they first came on the market. I do like them. Usually keep them on the same settings. Some of the parameters they can report I honestly don't even know what they are or what you'd do with the info. I know they have made changes since I got mine, I think they have more parameters and data logging features now, as well as the need to run a power wire to them I think (mine don't need a seperate power feed).

They sometimes a little flakey. One of them will sometimes turn off for a minute then come back on or change to a different parameter. But like I said, mine are from one of the very first batches they made and there have been changes to them.

There are other options out there, if money is not an issue(which I think isn't the case here since you say the one is way cheaper than the other ), the Dashdaq seems quite sweet. This 'compare' link lists some competitors to the Dashdaq, it doesn't compare them all, but it at least lists some so google should come in handy for getting more into. http://www.dashdaq.com/specs/compare.htm

I've had my scangauge in my VW for over two years now, and I find it great.
