So as I stated previously, I am redoing the redos that I have redone. So I again am rebuilding the front end. The Jeep has not moved but I am redoing it yet again. I found a deal on a hpD30. So my questions are :
1 Is there any difference between the lpD30s and the hpD30s? (reverse cut, etc.)
2 Are there any issues with using this axle and the steering geometry on a TJ? (interference with track bars or the like)
ps- RR let me guess, Dana 44 is better, right?

Tons of TJ people put hp30's in their TJ. Also a lot of people use the libery knuckles for the highsteer option.

The HPd30 (non-disconnect) is a great up-grade bolt-in axle...

I will have to regear it so I am curious about the cut. It has 3.55s and I need 4.10s. I know I will probally change over to mid 4.s later but I went with what I had at he time.
Non-disconnects? Are you refering to the diff. vacuum setup?

did XJs come with LP Dana 30's? I have seen 3 so far that looked like LPs.

The YJ 2.5L had the 4.10 gears stock, and they are reverse cut. By the non disconnect I believe he's talking about using a one piece TJ shaft instead of the vacuum disconnect.

2000-2001 had low pinions, all other XJs had high pinions.
