I want some bigger tires but the cost of an axle swap, wheels, & lift are holding me back so I've been wanting to take care of the cheaper stuff first. I'd like to get as much tire clearance as possible with the least amount of lift so I was looking to the TJ flares for my YJ. I'm needing to know which ones give the most clearance, the rubicons or sahara? I've also got some diamond plate over my rocker panels to cover some damage so will I be able to keep them without looking goofy? I appreciate the help.

I used Rubicon flares (because they were free to me...:) )
Rubicons are wider than the stock ones - and I believe the same width as the Sahara ones.

Before with 35's - standard YJ opening

The "cut"

"After" with the Rubicon TJ flare installed

A good mod for any YJ with bigger tires.

Mine are Omix-ada 7", the only difference is how much metal you want to cut and how wide you want them to be really.

Rubicons are wider than the stock TJ flares and the same as the Sahara flares

the Sahare flares are painted.
