14 degrees 37.660' North and 90 degrees 31.470' West. I do not know how to do the degrees symbol.

Alt + 0176

So how does that work, Chad?

Press and hold the Alt button, then punch in the sequence on the number pad (make sure NumLock is on), release alt key. There are numerous combinations, but these are the only two I have memorized:
0176 = °
0233 = é
Alt + 0176
This has never worked for me on my work laptop. Is it absolutely necessary to have a number pad?
For those who care, on a Mac it's Option-Shift-8

I don't know if it's necessary to have a numpad, I don't really use laptops very often.

Open that, and then select the character you want. Look in the bottom right corner for the code. Or you can always select the character and copy it if you can't get the code to work for whatever reason (like lack of a numpad).

yeah..TNX..1I have always wondered how those were typed...gads I hate windows...I want a MAC
¿ = alt + 168
° = alt + 248 (easier and shorter then the 4 digit Chad does)
There are plenty more. Do a google search for "Extended ASCII" and you'll see 2 charts. The top chart is the one all basic keyboards do. The 2nd chart is all the characters you can do using extended ascii technique above.
Table ASCII -I

TABLE ASCII -II

It's a damn good way to strengthen passwords. Example... my old password many many years ago was my daughters name. Most people know her name but, 1, don't know how to spell it. 2, I re-arrange the letters to completely jack it up. 3, replace vowels with extended ascii characters.
So:
MIKAYLA
looked more like this:
Mkylîâå
Sure it was a pain in the ass. And impossible on laptops since the num-lock keys are absent, I abandoned those passwords a long time ago for much easier "Kerberos" style passwords. ;)
BTW: What's up Mike? How's life? Haven't seen you online in AGES!!!

I use Word (perfect, doccument, office, whatever :rolleyes:) > Insert > symbol then Cut n' paste from there.
Here is a template.... °
What were we talking about now?
14 degrees 37.660' North and 90 degrees 31.470' West.
OK, back to our regularly scheduled program.....

14˚ 37.660' north latitude, 90͘˚ 31.470 west longitude (not Utah). 14 degrees 37.660 minutes north, 90 degrees 31.470 minutes west. Google earth coordinates set for degrees, decimal minutes. If you use google earth, go to tools, options, 3D view. find the "show lat/long", click on circle in front of degrees, decimal minutes. click apply and ok.
Would it be easier to just tell us where you are?

Guatemala City
Cool. My wife and step-son were down there a couple of years ago.
Now wasn't that much easier?

I wanted you guys to figure out where I was. using google earth with the lat/long set to degrees decimal minutes was exactly where I am staying.

Stop worrying about fun and bring me that ammo.

The thing is I think it's cool that you're there. But didn't care enough to go to all that trouble.

I'm tearing my house apart this weekend to find it. My garage is a Charlie Foxtrot at the moment thanks to having a 72 Bronco in parts in the garage as well as a 94 F250 in parts in the garage. Hopefully, I'll find em soon...
