HO yeah! The headlights almost look real.

Challenger? Not the Charger? 2 door not the 4 door Dodge? Lately, they have been using 4 door body models with 2 doors and adjusting the lines... (ie: Taurus, Camery (), MoteCarlo, Challenger). I like the idea of going back to the models that are exclusively 2 doors (ie: Plymouth Fury).

Was the Camaro raced in the cups or was that just IROC?

the camaro was just for IROC. they ran the "sedan" in NASCAR. monte carlo, cutlass, thunderbird, i think.

I do not remember the Cutlass, which was a rebadged MonteCarlo in the 1980's, being a NASCAR car (or any Oldsmobile). But Dale Earnhardt drove the Thunderbird in 1982 & 1983.

The 1988 and 1989 models were 2-door coupes. This Cutlass body style proved to be a winner for NASCAR competition and it visited the victory circle 13 times (Olds had only three wins with the Delta 88 body style in 86-87) between 1989 and 1992, when Olds ended its racing program.

i know i've seen them myself, but few and far between. in any case, the monte carlo, gran prix and cutlass were all the same.

besides that...
i dont like the new mustang car

here's my next question.
is toyota gonna redesign the camry to compete with the big dogs now? i mean... for the last few years, the NASCAR series has been populated with nameplates that were FWD platforms. Taurus, Camry, Monte Carlo, Grand Prix... all FWD platforms in the civilian world, but on NASCAR curicuits, they are all "the same" rear drive race car.

if i see it racing, i want to be able to buy it. yea, you could get a 5.3 in a monte carlo, but it was turning the front wheels.... yuk. :barf:

That is not correct. He has always driven GM. Mostly Monte Carlo's, a few Pontiac's but never a Ford!
