"I'm (Tonka) and I'm a Pepsiholic". I used to drink no less than 32 oz/day. But no more.
For about the last 18-20 months, I have been drinking Pepsi Max. I have been able to stay in relatively good shape and my dental reports have improved.
I do want to try the "flashback" limited edition of Dr Pepper made with real cane sugar when it hits the shelf. With the Pepsi flashback, I could tell a difference between the corn syrup and real cane sugar versions.

I will be the first to post that I do enjoy a diet soda. Although I drink homemade iced tea most frequently, I enjoy a diet dr pepper or diet wild cherry repsi. The old stand by is regular diet pepsi

I don't drink much pop but I OD on Sunkist Sparkling Lemonade when it's around. Near me it's not carried in many stores and in many of the stores that do carry it only carry it in the summer months...which in Wisconsin is July and August and that's about it...

There for a while, I was mostly drinking just water and tea. But im back at the office (cube farm) and need the "sugar" and caffine to stay awake. So now, its
Water, Tea, AMP "over drive", Mt Dew.
But when not at work, I only drink water and tea.

I like Diet Coke nice classic taste but not overly sugary
If it has Jack in it even better

I'm diabetic so I was drinking diet Dr. Pepper a lot but I quit drinking diet soda because I heard too many bad reports about the artificial sweetener. Now it's just Michelob Ultra and water for me.

There was a time in the later 80's when all these lines of soda was comming out that was following a trend. I believe it was olean (?), caffiene free, diet, etc etc..... Someone offered me their Coke because they didn't like it. Later that night, I  :barf: and was sick for about 2-3 days. So no more "diet" labeled drinks. Even though the reciet I get for Pepsi Max states "diet", it is the only one my stomach can take.

I have my reasons, things happen, make ya quit. Plus its alot cheaper, that and I'm strongly considering joining the AirForce Reserve, and need/want to drop another 10-15lbs.
Since giving up soda, and sticky mainly to water (beer on the weekends some), eating healthier, and jogging 6-12 miles a week; I've managed to drop 30lbs since the first of the year.

Hell yea! Good job!
I love Dr. Pepper. And Mountain Dew is my backup for when I don't want anything as heavy. I'd love to drink more good root beers like IBC and such, I just don't like the price.
Recently we got a SodaStream (http://www.sodastream.com) machine and make our own soda.

When I can it is A&W. Otherwise it is Coke Cola and I have been cutting down my intake. As of today I am down to about 6 liters a day.  My goal is to get it down to 2 liters a week.

I've stopped drinking a lot of stuff. I've quit drinking alcohol, I only consume small amounts of dairy (so no milk, which sucks because I used to drink a gallon of it every 2-3 days), and I'm trying to get to the point where I can run several miles without my stomach hurting, so I rarely drink soda.
I pretty much drink only water, sports drinks and juice. And coffee, lots of coffee. That's pretty much my only health vice right now. I'm working in an office environment and coffee is absolutely essential if I don't want to fall asleep on my keyboard.

A pot of coffee a day between 9am and noon, from then on I tend to drink about a liter of water and a two liter of Diet Mtn Dew every day.
Once in a while I will drink a Dad's Rootbeer. Toss one of those liter bottles in the freezer for about two to three hours and then open it quickly so that it kind of turns slushy. Now that's the stuff.

I will drink Sweet tea like a fiend. And I have been known to hunt down Homemade Root Beer like a hog sniffing out truffels.
Used to have a John Harvards Micro brewery around here I would buy 5 Growlers of root beer. They would be gone by weeks end. My grandfather made the stuff and I became very addicted. I bought a kit but haven't had time to actually make it myself.
As far as commercial brands, Docs got it right!

That's awesome man! Sounds like a lot of hard work but paying off for you. If you decide to join the reserves I wish you the best of luck!
