Can someone help me find proof of what rear axle NASCAR uses. I believe it is a 9" but can't find anything solid.

I do believe they do...
All NASCAR cars use a Ford. 9” rear axle assembly.

Yeah NASCAR is pretty much the reason why 9" parts are cheap and easy to come by in the aftermarket world.

not just NASCAR, but most all forms of racing as well.
