New exhaust pics (on my silverado)

The plate is just made of crap sheet metal that I found in the corner of my friends garage. I didn't want to paint it to match the color of the truck so I thought it would look rustic and tough if I just took a torch and heated up all the edges. It has 2 coats of flat clear on it so it doesn't really rust. The zip screws will soon be replaced by stainless rivets.

Now to the pipes. I ordered a box full of 2.5" bends on ebay. They were actually better quality than I expected. I also ordered 2 flowmaster super 44's (offset). Basically I just pictured how I wanted it, made some cuts, see if it fit, tacked it up, test fit, then welded it all together. I really had no plan of attack... I just kinda winged it. Even though I am just an idiot with a plasma cutter and a welder... I think it turned out pretty decent.

The only thing that kinda sucks is that the front tip is a couple degrees off from the back one. Oh well. You can't even notice unless you are up close.

I am going to get better pictures and a couple sound clips today. I'm gonna try to borrow a friends nice microphone so the sound clips will sound as true as possible. I will post them asap.

Nice job dude! Did you put some kind of sealant under it to keep the water/salt out? I would be worried about it starting to eat away underneath. Very original idea!

2 Layers of double sided tape, 2 coats of clear on the front and back of the plate and 2 costs on the actual bed. I will probably run a bead of sealant on the back where I made the hole in the bed.
