I have a `90 s-10. I know this is not the right section but there is no section for this truck. Ok, here is the problem. My s-10 use to be a country truck. I can drive it on the highway up to grayling and back. but then when I try to drive it to my friends houses and back I run through so much gas. The gas is killing me and I might have to get rid of my truck. any help would be so much appreciated. Thanks

Really good answer CJ!
But if you're looking for gas milage a Jeep probably wouldn't be the way to go. :D

I would try all of the normal things first, try using those build-up remover additives in your gas, switching your fuel grade a little higher can actually help remove carbon build up, another thing that normally gets over looked is make sure your tire pressure is at the correct psi.
But if you're getting below 15MPG then something else is probably wrong. If this is the case and the MPG thing is really bumming you out...
BUY A JEEP. :D :D :D

I say get a tuneup...change your fuel filter...check fuel pump...check o2 sensor...
