Hi everyone,
Does anyone know of a fun place to do some more basic offroading (fire roads, wide trails, etc) in eastern MA or South NH? I just picked up a 2000 TJ and would like to have some fun with it smile.gif
Thanks,
Matt

go west, my friend...lots of places here in the Berkshires! Dirt roads to serious wheelin' and everything in between. We're not far away, either...I get to Boston in 2hrs.

To Massachusetts off-roaders -
I'm from NY, but I have some family out in Cape Cod. I went to visit them for Christmas and stayed a few extra days to do some exploring. The only off-roading I did was along a beach in Sandwich, on the north shore. I had to buy a season permit ($40, good til summer), but it was worth it. The trail takes you right along the bay (occasionally I drove right in the surf) and periodically trails enter the dunes, marshes, and pine forests just inland from the beach.
This is the only place I explored so far, but I gather that there are many similar places along both shores of the Cape. Catching them before the summer almost guarrantees having them to yourself. Look up the Sandwich Town Hall for info on the off-roading beach.

I am in Western Mass, the Berkshires, and would love to go on a few trail rides with a few other people. There are a few trails in the area.
