I found a place in crystal lake, il. About 1 hour north west of chicago. It is a small wooded area with fields, plenty of mud and large large hills. A nice trail that follows some train tracks for a mile or so with plenty of fun on both sides. Email me for more info at polospt32@aol.com
This area is perfect for an afternoon of wheeling and you can be home by dinner.

Are you talking about the place off Rt. 14? I personally have never gotten a ticket, but have had to hide out at night a few times because of cops coming in there.
Some guy chased us with a shovel because we ventured into the Paintball field next to it. (on accident)

I know of a good spot up in the Lake Zurich area...kinda by Lake Zurich H.S. There are dozens of trails that really test your vehicle's limits. My best friend's 4 banger YJ had to pull a K5 Blazer (only 2WD) with 38" mudders and a 6" lift out of a deep crevice. Score one up for the Jeep. If anyone wants more info on the area let me know.
