Florida- Ocala NF

Does anyone know if you can ride the trails through the Ocala National Forest. Or any other good trails -I live in jacksonville so the closer the better. smile.gif

There are trails down there you can ride. I believe you have to purchse a permit, though. Not a lot of $$$$. I haven't been down there, but some others from JU have been there. eric is down that way, so you might PM or email him.

I HAVE BEEN THERE MANY TIMES. STAY ON THE NUMBERED TRAILS AND DO NOT GO ACROSS ANY PRARIES! OR CLEARINGS! GET A FOREST MAP FROM THE RANGER STATION AS WELL. HAVE FUN AND DON'T GO ALONE.

Actually Me and a group of jeeps off of jeepforums.com are planning a trail weekend up there on the 30th..if you want to come let me know...we're leaving tampa friday around 5ish and comin back sometime sunday...

The Caloosa Jeepers from the Ft Myers area will be having a weekend ride up there Labor Day weekend and all Jeepers are welcome to come along! The base of operations and camping will be at the Ocklawaha Campground off of SR 40.

have been there camping but not with my jeep. I am preatty sure the south part of the park is for ORV's. I also beleive there is alot of trails miles and miles not sure how good. But in Fla. any trail is better than none
