If anyone is from central or eastern Alabama and knows anywhere fun to ride; trails, and some mud, let me know.....Thanks,

There are some really good trails in Gardendale, AL. You need to get in touch with the club that services those trails - CAOS, Central Alabama Off-road Society. They have a web site and go wheelin' most every weekend. There is also an organized ride there the last weekend of March. I've gone the last 2 years and had much fun.

I've been told that there is a good trail in Ashville (north of B'ham) that is opened on Sundays, but I haven't been yet.

They used to have some trials in the State Park just outside of Auburn when I was in school there (many eons ago).

I recently tried out the Ashland trails and they are pretty good. Most are old logging roads but deeper into the trails there are some good sized mud holes and some really steep hill climbs. You see a lot more ATV's than 4X4's but there is enough room for all. The trails are south of Ashland on hwy 231.

Went to the Gardendale event around Halloween and it was fantastic. Big hills, slate, mud, dust and ruts. Trails rated from 1-5...5 being the rock-climber style trails you see on the 4x4 shows. CAOS is one of the most organized clubs in the south and they were very professional and helpful. Highly recommended from the Central MS Jeep Association.
