TJ rookie, I hear obx is great,(closest place to va beach to 4x?) what are the regs $ best time etc there? last 4xs were toys in texas mud, new to sand. will 31's handle the sand ok?

just keep your rpms low and dont spin your wheels or youll be buried.....LOW air pressure in tires too helps.......post this on the "off topic" board to get more responses

Take 12 north until it ends and you'll see the entrance for the 4 wheel drive beach. Once your on the beach you can drive for miles. And keep an eye out for horses. It's free too by the way.

Use any of the ramps to the beach. Keep your speed down, stay off the dunes, and follow the rules. The ecologists are trying to stop vehicular travel so don't give them a reason to close the beaches. Have fun, It's a great place. I have been going there for the last 30 some years.
