Scott (BYA72) and I where talking about getting a run together around Easter. We thought maybe we could get a good group for the 30th of March. Thats a Saturday. Anyone interested in joining? FYI, time change goes into effect on April 7th. smile.gif

PWP has been talking about trying to come up in March or April.

I would love to go up there, and wheel with you all. I will let you know, by the first to middle, of March. Sorry I can't let you know before.
It will be split between there, or Tellico. Of course, I have been to Tellico.
---------------------------------------------
Hey Eric, maybe we can hook up, and ride up together ... unless you drive very fast. I take it easy, on my "Redhead". smile.gif

Paul, the only thing you have to worry about with him is that he has a habit of tailgating. tongue.gif It sure would be great if you could both make it up here. Teresia and I are trying to work in a ride to Tellico in May.

See if you can get you hands on one of those "vehicle hauler" semis.
Then you can load it full of Jeeps and bring all of your friends!
Here comes Peter Cottontail
Jeepin' down the bunny trail! http://www.quadratec.com/ubb/icons/icon40.gif
Yeah dude.. we can caravan up there.. and, i can't drive fast.. stock gears.. 33's... doesn't go too fast.. i like the idea of the jeep hauler.. we could get this huge ass 18 wheeler, and then I could drive and try not to run over anything :D sounds like a plan to me... now where could we get a big rig...... HMMMMMMM... :D

well the plan is to bring both jeeps and bradley and maybe a couple of passengers.
mike can we hang at your house those couple of nights. i think we'll find more stuff (toys) to occupy bradley at your place then hayden's. (no offense hayden)
so this gives me two month's to do my soa on my yj and to get the spacer lift and longer shocks on heidi's jeep take my 31" swampers off my jeep and put them on heidi's jeep and get my 33" swampers on. not alot of time when you think about it that way.

Not much time at all. Stop typing and start wrenching! ;)
Just a suggestion here... maybe we should make it a two day run. You all remember what happened last time! I'd hate to get rained out again. This way we can increase our odds for some good weather. Besides, it's only another $5 for a second day! smile.gif

Hey! Tink, Jeeper, and I all bought 2-day passes last time. We only didn't go on Sunday because of "technical difficulties" with the 2 jeeps that didn't have a history of breaking down. ;)

friday and saturday night would be great. hopefully we dont have to make any runs to wabash auto on sunday. ;)
my brother and his woman might be coming too. dont know yet? if he does i'll have him make sure its ok with you, if he stays too.
as to us it will probably be heidi, me, brad, heidi's little sister(shes 12), and maybe her mom. dont need nothing special just a spot on the floor to roll out some sleeping bags.
my soa maybe put off till this summer. :( got to see if there's enough income tax refund for heidi's tires and it.

Aw common, there's got to be more people that can plan ahead. Just think of all the fun we can have!!
Heck, we've got Eric coming up from Florida, Suz coming from St.Louis area, Tin & Heidi & Bradley from Pa., and JPChuck from Cleveland. Along with some of our other freinds that always come out on rides. These people are traveling a long way just to be with their special freinds from here on the BB. I might even borrow a livestock trailer to haul-in a ride for Eric. Just think, Eric and Jeff in the same state, let alone
staying in the same house. Thats worth the price of admission in itself!! :D

Maybe we need to start working out some of the details.
For instance...
The main day of the run is the 30th, but if it's going to be a two day event, what is the best day for everyone? The 29th? (Good Friday) The 31st? (Easter)
Where is everyone going to stay?
Does anyone want to camp out?
JPCHUCK
02-24-2002, 12:30 PM
Details??? Now I gotta think :(
I'm not going ;) , but if I were, the best day for me would be the 30th....Pulling into Lafayette (Ramada Inn??) late Thursday night, early Friday morning, and leaving Sunday morning to get some family time for Easter.
So I hope for a full day of wheeling on Saturday, the 30th. :D :D :D

Ok, I got a price for the shirts for the Bunny Run. It looks like the design will be the ones that Hoosier Daddy and Eric came up with. They will run $12 each. But, I do need to know how many and what sizes to order. So please let me know as soon as you all can. You can e-mail me at MCPJeep@aol.com and make it subject (Run Shirts).
Also, the faster I can get the info, the faster I can get them ordered so we can have them for the run. Pay for them at the run. So get them orders in so we don't have anybody running around shirtless.

The only hitch is my one buddy is waiting on his lift to land at his door so we can install it. So if things go drastically wrong I may be helping to install a lift that weekend. Oh well.. we'll hafta see. Put me as tentative.

Cool! Glad to hear you're going to make it! (Maybe)
See if you can talk Carol into coming with you guys!
If your buddy doesn't get his lift on, he can still come.
The wheelin' isn't THAT extreme!
We plan on running the green (easy), white (semi-easy), and orange (moderate) trails. If anyone is wanting to run the pink (hard) trail, you'll have to find another trail guide because I'm not built for that one!
Maybe if YJeeper (Tim) makes it, he can lead that one. I'd love to ride along!
See ya soon! smile.gif

Well, I actually pondered it for a little bit but after plugging in the info to MapQuest, I'm affraid it is a no go.
Originally qouted by MapQuest:
Total Distance: 1387.41 miles Total Estimated Time: 27 hours, 35 minutes Only 2 hours to Moab compared to 27 and a half to Attica. A couple tanks of gas compared to 12. Add to that the fact that I'm one po sob and you can see why I can't make it. I would have really like to try and make it to meet and wheel with you guys! And I have kin folk in Muncie (go Ball State). Oh well, thanks for the thought!

- ToddYeah he's been there before. But it's the fact it would be a test run for his new 3" RE lift.
If my other buddy comes along he could lead pink. I've done, green, orange, and parts of white and pink so I know what to expect. Tho the last time I was there there was 1" of snow which made everything 1/2" of mud. Hehe made for a good time on some of those hills considering I was running 30" AT's with 15psi.

Hey Jeff, aas long as you'all make it, then it don't matter which Jeep you bring. Hope Her wrist will be ok enough for her to atleast wheel some of the run. Besides, she only needs one or two gears to get the job done. ;) It's gonna be alot of fun!! I can see the gate's now------->

It was a bit slow last time, but all the rain didn't helped. I think you'll find the orange trail more challenging! Maybe we can play around in the sand dunes too. We've got two days to explore!

Does anyone have an "official" total of who all is going to be there?
Where is everybody staying? And which day is going to have the most amount of people?
I'm planning on driving into IN on Friday night, for the Saturday run - what's the majority doing?
Looking forward to it! See you soon!

We are planning on camping at Summer's for 2 nights and heading back home Sunday morning. It's only 6 miles to the campground (instead of 90 miles to home.) Anybody care to join us? They have electric sites, so you can bring a heater or electric blanket if you're worried about getting cold. :D

Just wanted to let everyone know where we're planning on going for the pre-run dinner Friday night. My new favorite restaurant...

Buca di Beppo (http://www.bucadibeppo.com)
It's an Italian place. Great atmosphere. Great food. And BEER!!!
(Click the link above for more info.)
BTW, we've got the Pope Room reserved! :D Check it out:

Ahhh, the wonders of working at a smaller P.D. I can no longer take a comp day to go to the Bunny ride. One of our Officers decided this would be a great day to call in "sick".
Amazing, but his sickness coincided nicely with the fact that he already has Sat. & Sun. off.
I'm not mad. I just wish I had thought of it first! I'm gonna miss meeting all of you at Attica. Was really looking forward to it!

Duty calls Ski. Hopefully you can make it to PB2's Run (http://www.quadratec.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=23;t=000196) in June. There should be a lot of BB members at that one too. Of course if you want to go sooner, let me know. We go at LEAST once a month! smile.gif

Well folks, I have to cancel this weekend. An old friend I haven't had the pleasure of for several years came to visit late last nite. Bronkitus, when it kicks in I can't breath very well. The worst part is the coughing, I get such bad coughing fits that I'm afraid to drive. (I get dizzy and lite-headed). Have fun and be safe
Til next time,

I only have 1 problem.....bring the TJ or the Liberty??????!!! I don't have any tow hooks on my TJ since I just got it, I ordered them weeks ago from Quadratec but we seem to be having some difficulty on such a complicated $50 order!! I went to Attica a couple weeks ago and just hooked to my bumper and it worked fine. I also have had the Liberty there but I never tried the orange.
What do you guys think? I really don't want to tear up the Libby.
