Good evening,

Well, let me tell you. For a Feb. in Connecticut, today was gorgeous. The high was about 68, clear and sunny.

This was my last run in CT before I move back to GA. My mom is my wheeling partner here so leaving her really sucks. Well, Sat. night we installed a 1.25 JKS BL and a 2" Tera BB on her 99 TJ. This was also my first run with my 33 KM's and they were awesome.

I got to tell you about this one incident though. We stopped at the trail head of a rather tough obstacle to air down and this wheeling buddy of mine who will remain nameless for now set his parking brake and left the tranny in neutral. I am listening to the sweet sound of air being let out of my tires and the next thing I see is his jeep rolling straight down the hill towards my jeep. It took everything in me not to jump in the way. But he rolled right back into my jeep. Took out my front fog light, crushed my front fender piece and tore up my fender flare a little. I have a shorty bumper but it did catch the jeep a little and stopped it before it did any real damage. His rear corner panel was not in good shape. I was pissed. But anyway, I pulled the fender out and fixed the flare and it looks fine. You will see in these pics. I am 1 light short.

Enjoy, I will post somemore later.

This is my moms jeep. Her boyfriend was driving. This was a really difficult climb here to the left of the jeep. Very ledgy and steep. Also quite a bit of ice. We all made it with a little spotting.
Here he is making the turn up the ledge. He is prob. 45 degees in the pic.

My buddy Chris (Heep) on that same ledge.

The exact same thing almost happened to me a month ago. Fortunately his tires turned on their own and his Jeep went up the embankment.

This is the pic I snapped immediately after I changed my shorts ;) :

The hill was fairly steep and would have caused some real damage to my Jeep and perhaps me since I was half in it getting my camera to snap of a YJ with 38's that got stuck. :D

It is basically in Middle CT. Good trails. Some tough stuff. Nothing hardcore but a few challenging obstacles. As I said this is my last run here as I am moving back to Atlanta but I frequent www.neow.org (http://www.neow.org) and that is where I met my CT friends. Check it out if you haven't already. Many runs are organized there.

Peace,

Chris

Hey Chris don't worry, now you can use your one light left for a backup light: ;) . Just kidding man! Had an awesome time yesterday, too bad my "heep" was running like crap  . I will try to get the video I shot to ya asap. I watched it last night and it's pretty cool! Those were some great shots you got. But there and the video it really doesn't so it justice. It was ALOT steeper and hairier than the photos show. Anyway, I'll be talking to ya soon bro!

Oh I'm so jealous.. My buddies were all working on their Jeeps this weekend, so I had no one to ride with. Looks like alot of fun. Chris, I would like to get together with you sometime.. pick your brain a little.. I'm still a rookie to all this Jeep stuff and have a few questions. Shoot me an email sometime..

Looks like you guys had a great time!

So the
quote:
wheeling buddy of mine who will remain nameless for now

is no longer nameless...

That would be me!

Sorry Chris...

As for my quarter panel... I'm gonna drill it, pull it, bondo it, prime it and cover it with Diamond Plate!

We did have a GREAT day yesterday!

For those of you looking at these pics... they do not come close to doing the steepness and the angle of that hill climb/ledge any justice!
