Each of us could bring something, and if it's allowed, bring a grill. If it sounds good to anyone, lets plan a day where everyone can attend. smile.gif November 10th, or 24th is good for me. If not, it was worth suggesting. :D

Nice idea, but if your planning on doing it in the woods you will need a fire permit and an approved campsite. If you are planning on camping, Atsion and Goshen Pond are within 2 minutes of the Pic, but it will be way cold. How about a Thanksgiving at the Pic with hot wings, She Crab soup and beer after a ride?

The 10th is doable for me as of right now, the 24th is questionable. But still sounds good. Wings at the Pic...Hmmm... I might just have to try that. :D

Sounds like the 10th is it then. If we do it, we will have to shorten our run though, so we have time to enjoy our dinner, and BEER :D . I plan on burning CD's of everything I have (pics and videos) from the Pine runs I've been on, so if anyone wants one, let me know so I know how many to make.

Has anyone heard about the movie coming out about the Pine Barrens, and the Jearsey Devil? It's called "13th Child", not sure when it comes out, or if it is already out, but it sounds like a good horror movie with lots of blood and gore. So I would not advise going to see it if you are squeemish. :D Click here (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0273041)

I've done a little more research, and can not find a location where it is showing, however, the movie does start today.

That film is a documentary that was filmed here 2 years ago. There have been a lot of gruesome murders in the pines. The last was a small group of out of state people out 4-wheeling that became lost and had to spend the night. Several days’ later people started finding body parts in the middle of several trails. Through DNA they learned that the parts came from some of the missing people. They never learned what happened, but most think it was the Jersey Devil...again!

Piney, I found out that the movie comes out today in theaters, cause the Regal Cinema near us is showing it, and it is a 2002 film.

I've slept out here for the past 26 years. I live in the Pine Barrens. However, we do take precautions because of the Jersey Devil. I have punji pits, trip flares, piano wire snares and if the trip wires are hit a remote M60 strafes the area. This also provides a steady supply of venison.
When going out for a walk in the evening we also dress appropriatly:

I've seen in other posts that there may be a problem with the date we set for the hot wings and beer at the pic. If the 16th is better for most, rather than the 10th, then we'll go for the 16th.

I have no problem with the 10th, wont be able to make the 16th though.
