I was fed up with the molding on my ZJ so I painted it flat black! The molding was turning almost to a white color in some places. It turned out great! The molding/cladding was easy to take off of the jeep. Most of it just pops off. I still need to paint the back bumper and I plan to leave it on the jeep when I paint it. I'll just mask it off with some newspaper & tape. Check it out! :D

As always! Thanks Bobbby! :D How are you liking your one piece axles? Feeling a little more confidant?

Cool man! Those one piece axles are the ticket! Do you have a good power steering box laying around? I need one for my 7. Mine is leaking still. Do you have any roll cages laying around? Or a heater core? Mine leaked so I took it out of the jeep. Coolant on the floorboards suck!
Later!

I have a pump for a 7 but dont know how good it is...it was in a bunch of parts I got off a guy back home in WV...id just go to advance and get a heater core since any used one might start to leak on you quickly....no cages besides teh one in my jeep..lol...but last time I was at Galloways he had a few used ones.

Show and Shine Tip:
One day I was nosing around in Lavine's Auto Store (good store that carries more than the average auto store, 2 in Danbury) and I saw this "Black It Out Trim and Bumper Coating". Also saw a wash prep Morton - Clean and Prep Multipurpose Surface Cleaner detergent for cleaning all wax, etc..off. A friend has a body shop and he swares by Tide. They also have a primer for flares as a barrier coat, Morton - "Impact Flexible Primer Surfacer". It's all supposed to be for the flexable vinyl parts. We'll see. I got the "mat" finish - came out nice. The simi was a little too glossy for me.
I just got tired of crap that only lasts about a week. I have the Bestop flares so they really look bad after 2 years.
Let me know, Rit

Yeah, you are right Rit. I was tired of applying back to black and such too! Painting is the way to go. Very low maintenance! I am very happy about that. I also tried the semi-gloss and did not like it. So flat black is good for me.
