ok i'll git right to it:
i have a 99 XJ and want to git new tires,
30x9.5-15
Will they Fit?
also a 2'' budget boost lift would be nice but.....
will that cause vibes? can't afford a SYE+Tires.
with a 2'' BB will i need bigger/longer Shocks??
is the 2'' BB easy to install or do i need to take her to a garage??
and.. the jeep is white so my color scheme is black and white and if i get new tires i also wanna git the AR-767 wheels,
but what size wheel does that size tire fit on???15x7,8,9??????????
oh ya and with the 2''BB will it cause any vibes? and if so is that a bad thing? i drive 45miles ONE WAY to work so i put 90Miles+ A DAY!!! this is my one and only vechicle, daily driver but still want to venture in to the woods and stuff on days off so c'mon fellas throw me a bone here i need major assistance! anybody live near Owego,NY 13827?? ha ha ha

Stock shocks will work, but will limit down travel. 30X9.50s will fit on stock rims (15X7).
I suspect 30s should fit with 2" of lift.
Ease of install depends on the kit. Most 2" kits
are spacers up front and either a block,Add-A-Leaf, or shackles out back. Changing shackles may require shims for changing pinion angle to avoid vibration.
2" lift should not require longer brake lines.
You will need to adjust toe-in as lifting the
truck changes steering geometry.
As for the ease of install. You will be for all
purposes, removing the front axle removing the front springs, installing a spacer and reinstalling them. In the rear, you will be droping the rear axle and installing the block/AAL, or removing the rear spring shackle and
replacing it. It took 1 day for me to do my friends Jeep having done mine before hand.
If you don't feel like getting real dirty, take
to garage.

BTW: JCW sells a 3" lift kit which is $104.
It's 3" springs up front and a Add-A-Leaf out back
with a block. Leave the block out and the kit installs to 3" even. Should install at 3" (W/O block) without the need for extra goodies/mods.

I'm not familar with the Jeep MX3 chassis ;)
The Cherokee body was designed by Renault, so in a way, they are imports...

hey Ron thanks for answering me that helps a lot but so yer sayin that if i use shackles insted of AAL's i WILL git vibes? but don't AAL's affect the ride quality? and i don't mind gittin dirty at all but if i were to take it to a garage (just to save time!) how much do you think it would cost roughly? also if i do this BB lift and want to lift it a little more latter when we git her a grand or liberty will i beable to leave the BB on there or take it off and collect dust in the shed? i know theres 'combos' that will 'add up' to a certin height but don't know what is compatable???????

When you lengthen the shackles you change
the pinion angle (the angle the rear yoke is in
relation to the output shaft of the transmission).
That may or may not cause vibration, but the angle
should be restored, and that is done with shims
under the spring perches. AALs and blocks don't
change that relationship.
AALs don't normally change the ride a whole lot because the rates of the main leaves were not changed. I see no reason a budget boost can't be
a first step you can build on, or use later. Because many kits come in 2",3", then 6",8" one needs to get to the next level some how. Many 6" kits are nice 3"kits with a BB kit installed with it.

along the way, and everything goes easy, I'd
figure 8-10hrs. Cost depends on your local hourly
rate.

Well here is a little sugestion about the lift block [DONT USE THEM]
I have a 93 XJ and it has a 3.5``Tuff Country lift
on the rear I put a 1500# AAL and 2`` spacer block
well all was fine for about a year then all $ell broke loose one block broke and then the other and it riped the u joint clip & u joint out and then the shocks got TWISTED and so did the axel
the AAL IS OK IT IS THE BLOCK THAT WILL CAUSE YOU THE PROBLEM :( is this is your only driver it will be a big problem and some time unless you got lots of money and some one who can fix it right away.
Here is a list of parts needed to fix my XJ
2 3.5`` rear springs R/C $350
2 30`` SHOCKS $38 @
4 axel bushing bolts #35.50 + 2 nuts
4 U bolts $9 @
1 U joint $21.95
1 set of U joint caps $10
oh the extras breaks F/R + MISC.STUFF TO DO THE JOB $100. & that is not counting shipping
Well you know that all things dont go as planed when you try to take thing apart I have about 20 hr in it so far and it will be ready to START TO GET BACK TOGETHER THIS WEEKEND
GOOD LUCK [rember the blocks]DONT USE THEM
Oh I do a lot of off road and my XJ is only my play toy it has been on the jack stands for 2 weeks as of last Sat
