Anyone have a list of what stock stereos work in what model Jeeps?

Check out the Crutchfield web site or a Catalog, they list them all

Thanks, but I was interested more in Jeep stock factory stereos.
The other day I was thinking about buying a used CD player from an '02 TJ, but I guess it won't fit because one is rectangular and one is more oval. And yet my wife's '98 has a stereo from an XJ. (Go figure.)
I just thought a compatability list might come in handy.

My CJ has an opening that is only 3/4" high. Any idea what stock radio would fit in that opening. I hate to cu the dash up to put a bigger one in there.
I tried a non stereo AM/FM pushbutton but it's to big also.
Not happy with asking your question in Off Topic so you go and create an entire new forum?? Jeez has power gone to your head! :D
And thus begins the first going off topic of a post in this forum... :D

I didn't create it! ;)

I don't know about stock (obviously!), but the Crutchfield site only listed 2 cassette receivers that would fit a '76 CJ5. A Kenwood for $99.99 and a Sanyo for $79.99

Well, I can confirm that a '01 TJ stereo will fit in a '97 TJ.

Todd, from what I have heard they are all interchangable, but you may have to swap the bezzel for the center dash section on the 03/04 radio's.
