Someone dirtbag broke into my TJ lastnight and stole my stereo and cut my soft top.

Can anyone recommend a good alarm for a soft top. Something that will go off as soon as some loser thinks about breakin into my Jeep so I can run down and kick his ass. Thanks in advance.

yeah my window was just recently slashed......i already have an alarm and i just bought a proximity sensor...so now when somebody even gets close to it the alarm will chirp and if they keep getting closer it will go off....i had to order a remote and they sent me the whole alarm system with it so i have an extra alarm its an omega excalibur atv2000 or somethin like that...its a really nice alarm.....i would sell it to ya for pretty cheap or trade ya for anything you have? if by chance they didnt slit your drivers side window i would trade for that if they happened to slit the others....let me know

you could go with one of these (http://www.4wd.com/shopwrangler/DisplayProduct.asp?ProductSKU=6002) . it goes off as soon as somebody reaches inside...they dont even have to touch anything.

i dont even lock my jeep when i leave it. if someone wants to get in they will, so you might as well not lock it and save yourself a sliced top. i dont have the alarm either, i just lock everything up i dont want to get stolen, either in the center console or the back, and leave the doors unlocked.

Just be sure to get a motion sensor, and place it somewhere in the middle (mine right beneath parking brake handle). Up on sound bar works, too. I also got a battery backup in case battery cable is cut.

Hi,
I know this thread is quite old. Ran past it and thought I'd comment. When asked about proof of a break in, my insurance company accepted the concept that someone could squeeze their finger into the zippers on the door window and move the zipper around. The whole ordeal became such a waste of time... I regret even reporting it.
