What's your location for your antenna?

I mounted mine on the spare tire bumper on the passenger side. I think if I were to do it again I would mount it under the hood lip or on top of the center rollbar (if running topless).

For on-trail communications where you don't need lots of distance, anywhere with a decent ground will be fine. If you want distance (like I do in my car on the highway) then you'll need a high spot close to the center of the truck.

Anybody have any pictures of mounting it on the rear tire carrier? I don't understand how you route the wire into the Jeep, especially with a hard top

Go through the same hole that the stoplight wiring goes through.
