Lo Jack sysytem is a radio frequency transceiver that is hidden somewhere in your vehicle. When you report your vehicle stolen, police place your vehicle onto the national database, which then activates your Lo Jack. Once its activated it emits a signal which can be tracked by any police car equipped with LoJack vehicle tracking units. I have one in my patrol car, only used it once and it does work once a signal is recieved the vin flashes on the unit and gives signals where the vehcile is located. I would recomend it to anyone.

I looked into it but all of the insurance companies I caled (state farm, farmers, alstate) all said "there is inconclusive evidence to the effectiveness of Lojack and they do not ofer a discount for it being installed

I know of 3 people who had it on there vehicles and had them stolen and only one of the 3 didnt have the car recovered in an hour of reporting it stolen.

the third was a TJ and what was left of it was discovered 2 weeks latter in the middle of the desert in NV.

I think its worth it to have but dont expect a break from the insurance company
