do you have a picture/ discription of this custom box? Wranglers just have enough space for me to put in a truck box ..I would like to try something different...I had one 10" in my YJ but didnt move it over to my TJ...sounded good..two wouldnt hurt, but one for me was enough. your set up sounds good but its up to you...if you really want to blast ppl away go for two.. or one for a better full sound.

I have one 10" sub. I would just run one 10" or a 12" sub, theres not enough air space for 2 subs. Your best bet is to go with a good amp, like rockfard. I have a punch 120 that puts out 200 watts at peak. All of rockford amps our tested and come with test sheet. If your amp is 1600 watts its to much youll cook the subs.

Your setup sounds good except for the Pyramid amp. It's junk. I know it's cheap, but so will your system be when you hook that thing up. Those subs can take 400 watts rms, so look for an amp that does 600-800 watts rms to push them. As far as how many subs, go for two now. I first started my system with one 8...then one 10 ported...now two 12s. I wish i would have saved money and just got 2 12s to begin with. Also, when the top is down, you'll lose a lot of bass, so having the extra sub helps. I know a lot of people here don't like big stereo systems in Jeeps, but it's kinda fun when I pullup to a light with my system down(being nice to others) and hearing some lil import bumpin it. I kindly turn mine up and watch him slowly turn his head to see my lifted Jeep out bumping his speed bump of a car. It's even funnier when I out bump em with rock or country.
