It's pretty easy, you just run 4 wires from the rear of your head unit to the 2 speakers on the sound bar. You'll want to run the (+) and (-) wire from the Left Rear (+) and (-) to the driver side speaker and from the Right Rear (+) and (-) to the passenger side speaker on the sound bar.

I'm not sure what stereo head unit you have in the Jeep, but if it's aftermarket they should have hooked up an aftermarket harness behind the H.U. There will be 4 wires that are just kind of hanging out that are for this purpose, most aftermarket harnesses have the label written on the wire itself.

If you have a stock radio then you'll have to look up which wire is which, I don't remember off the top of my head. If you call a local stereo shop they'll tell you which color is which.

Also, if you have a lift on your bar you'll have to run a power wire to that. You'll need a ground wire to it also.

I hope this helps a little. It's not too hard, just gotta figure out which wire is which. smile.gif

I finished installing one this past summer. It shouldnt take you an hour or two at most. Just make sure its fastened extremely tight.Vibration sucks.I found that some of the existing screws were loose and the plug was aweful. I rewired it and got rid of the plug. Using outdoor wire I went from inside the speaker bar all the way to the HU

I live in Papillion. Went to High school there and liked it so much that I stayed and am going to UNO for college.

Anyways, Just run the wires inside the roll bar padding down to the floor then run behind the plastic black piece under the driver door. You'll see what I mean. That'll take you all the way to the dash, then just run it along the inside of the dash to the stereo.

Your stock intake is a pretty solid unit. You could drop in a K&N filter, but don't expect much of anything in the form of mileage or hp improvments. Just my 2 cents.

i was told that the full k&n system would put like 6to 8 more miles per gallon to my mileage
i really hate getting 200 miles to a 12 gallon tank in a 5spd and i really want to up the horse power

K&N is not gonna do it man. Trust me. I'm running one in my Jeep now, it was almost negligable. Couldn't really tell a difference either way.

You own a Jeep, you're gas mileage is going to suck. Forever. You're actually sitting pretty high on the mileage range most people get (you're near 17mpg going by your numbers. When stock I got 19-20 tops, now I'm lucky to hit 15.. I'm normally around 13)

Also, sorry to break the news to ya, but the 4cyl isn't going to be winning any drag races either. Without dumping a lot of money and effort into it, it's going to be a solid reliable 4cyl with 120 horse power.

These are the Jeep facts of life. If you're running bigger than stock tires the way to gain some power back would be to regear your differentials (pricey at around 1200 bucks total including labor). If you're not running any bigger than stock tires I suggest getting used to the 4cyl smile.gif I had no problems with the power it had on 225 tires. Even with 33's I think it does pretty well for a 4 cyl motor. I have yet to regear.

Hope this helps.

ON the sound bar try some polyfill in the sound bar behind the speakers and you will get a lot more sound out of the same speakers .Also you may be able to fit 6.5's in the sound bar if you are upgradeing .if you have a TJ the brackets to fit 5.25's in the front are worth it as you can get much better spearkers for the price than 4x6's
