79 CJ5 little black box leaking

Newbie here to the jeep world. On the driver's side front wheel well under the hood there is a plastic black box that is leaking "syrup" of some kind. What is this contraption and I assume I need to replace...

I'm going to guess the ignition module? Do you have a picture of the box? (How to post pictures (http://bbb.quadratec.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=4&t=000645))

I don't have a CJ to look at, so I don't know where exactly the ignition module was located.
