Time to replace the "long end" of my stock tie-ros. Was looking at heavy duty options. The Currie-link is nice but way too much $. Others have HD rods but they don't apear to have a way to connect to the stabilizor (which I don't mind loosing) or the drag link ( which is pretty nessisary). What help can you offer?

Have you looked at Banditt Ofroad? I know Craig has a nice setup he offers.

drag link is not do necessary onaYJ.I lost mine years ago.It sees quitee bit ofhighway use as well. I f you really want a HD tie rod simply look at high steer articles and do the same thing just do it in the stock position. Hiems = $60, tubing = $50, welding and couple new bolts= $50

Not to bad for super strong tie rod. Good Luck

isn't the drag link the one that connects the pitman arm to the wheel?? that's very necessary if you want to steer. and the tie rod connects one wheel to the other, also necessary, if you want to steer.

But I think he meant that the steering stabilzer isn't necessary, I think?

Maybe he means the track bar? drag link goes to the pitman arm. will check Bandit. Anyone else?

I think you're probably right, my bad.

I don't run a track bar either. It wanders a bit, but I'm used to it now.

How much is the Bandit setup? I didn't see pricing on their website...

Last time I checked, Nov 06, it was around $300 installed and they have to install it. He has an email address listed on his site, just send him and email on any of his stuff...

Why would they have to install it? I'm sure I can manage to drill out my steering knuckels.... besides alignment, that's all that would really be required of that setup.

He said the have to taper the knuckles...
