any body out there ever use a hypertech programer, and do they really work. 2001 wrangler sport

it does work, but a pain if you choose the 93 octane setting. not many gas stations i have been to sell octane rating over 92. but it does give you a few extra horses.

I'd like to know what Octane booster does, as it doesn't raise your octane. Last test I saw done, which cover 10 different octane boosters, only one made a full 1-point of octane difference, and that was only to 87 octane gas. None of the 10 did anything to 91 octane gas and higher.

I only run the 87 octane program on the hypertech. I plan on sending my ECM to Kenne Bell for the OPTIMIZER II upgrade. It runs the same price as the hypertech programmer, but you can have it calibrated to the specifics of your engine and what octane you run. I think that this would be a better option.
