well all was well with my engine until this mornin, the check engine light came on and i was crushed, anyway i took her to autozone and got my code read by a dumbass, and i mean a severe dumbass, he couldnt even figure out how to turn my key on and then later he asked me if i had a diesel? then he asked me if it was 4 wheel drive? gosh....anyway i cant remember the exact code but it was somthin to do with the timing chain, he said the chain prolly coulda jumped a little bit and thats what made it start throwin codes...is the dumbass right? is it bad to drive it any in this condition?

Theres no code for the a timing chain, that makes no sense. Go back and get the code number, or do the key on-off trick.

The key trick doesnt work on my 98 either... I have heard that about other 98's as well.

Ya it only worked on 97, and then they came back a few years later I think. But it doesn't work on a 98.
