bolt patteren?

im swapping a 4.0 fuel injected engine from a TJ into my YJ

does anyone know if the bolt patteren is the same for the tranny's?

the jeep it's in is a YJ with a pugeo tranny
(puke-o more like it)

but i have a 999 automatic from a 1987 YJ

will that mate?

AMC bolt patterns are the same...232/258/304/360/401, etc including the 4.0 which externally is essentially the same block as the 4.2

Short answer, yes it'lll bolt up. You *will* need to address the CPS.
