Alrighty I gots a couple questions. Clocking a transfer case...pros and cons? And with my Dana 300 could I use something like this (http://www.cjoffroad.com/AX-15adapter.asp) if I've swapped in the Chevy 350 and an SM 465. Is this something that could be done in the driveway? Thanks guys.

As long as you are just using it to clock the transfer case back up to a flat position, theres no real downside to it. We're using a kit like that on Dan's Dana300 to get it flat under the skid plate.

I was thinking we got it for less than $115 though, I'll ask him where we found the one he's using.

You don't need that full kit (it's a clocking ring *plus* a spacer which is needed when adapting to an AX-15) just the clocking ring which can be had for around $65 or so.

No real cons? Driveline angle? would the shifter be pointing funny? Any adjustments or things to looks out for or is this just an all around good idea?

Shifter angle will change some. Driveline angles are changed some, but usually not enough to care.

People do,at least everybody i hang out with,,,I think what freaks most people out is having to re-bend the shift levers

Lotsa people do it...there' s plenty of outfits selling clocking rings and they've been around for at least 10 years. Trimming depends upon which clocking position you choose. Most of the rings offer 3 positions but a handful of them offer 4. The first or second position is usually plenty and generally doesn't cause any interference. The angle at the front shaft and the position of the shift levers is what changes.

Flipped is for YJ/TJ/XJ/ZJ guys who are swapping them in since their front pumpkins are on the 'wrong' side. The do a few mods and run it upside down.
