so I just discovered on another site that the Duster made for the Soft Top is meant to be put on with the factory soft top folded down.
That's great and all, but I intend to completely remove the soft top and it's hardware before installing the duster...
Has anyone used the soft-top-duster with the soft top completely removed? Is it nice and tight or is there extra material and it looks funny?

The duster I used to have had extra material that brought the height up a couple inches at the back to accomidate the header and folded up top. The extra material was not that obvious and when driving, the air pressure pushed it down.

Hmmm. Anyone with pics?
I'm really anal about this sort of thing.

There should be a duster available for a Jeep with a factory hard top.

Let me see if I can find a few pics to post up.
I have both style dusters for my YJ.
With the softtop hardware folded down ("softtop" style)
and
With the stoftop hardware removed (I believe this is called the "hardtop" version)
WIth the softtop hardware removed, the "softtop" style is "baggy". That's why I found the "hardtop" style.
EDIT: Here's a pic with the "softtop" style duster installed WITH the factory stoftop ON the Jeep. It's pretty tight to get installed over the hardware. It would be "baggy" without the hardware on the Jeep.

EDIT 2: Here's a pic with the "hardtop" style. You can see how tight it is across the deck. You could bounce quarters on it....it's tight like a trampoline. Softtop hardware is removed.

Hope this helps.

Ya I know there's a hardtop style- but i wasn't sure of the difference. The picture in Qtec for the softtop style has all the softtop stuff removed. So a little misleading.

CMSurfer-- thanks that's what I needed. I just sent an email to Qtec about it.
