Easy there Jimmy.
It's just that there are rules on the BB that are there to help everybody, new folks & old-timers alike.
If someone could just register, and then use the BB to sell all of their Jeep stuff, then it would make the BB a lot less enjoyable for those that like the camraderie of fellow Jeepers. It's explained here (http://bbb.quadratec.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=faq#custom-2) in the FAQ's. And, I'll admit, I didn't read it either, but I did see it happen to another Rookie, so I learned by proxy.
It really is just a fun place to hang out & learn. And, there is a lot of good-natured "ribbing" that goes on here. Just don't take it too personally, laugh & enjoy it.
So, come on in, chalk it up to "Lesson learned" and get aquainted with some new friends. You'll be surprised at how much you'll learn, and you'll see the next generation of rookies take their hits, and later on you might even get a "swing" in on one, in a good-natured way, of course.
