wheel backspacing?

I just finished my 3" lift w/ 3/8" shackles and my 31x10.5's look a little lost when looking at them from the front & back. I'm thinking of going to 15x10 wheels w/ a 4" backspace and running 32x11.5's. Is anyone running a 4" backspace and 32's with stock fender flares? How does it look? Any clearance issues? I read Kwrangln's article but it doesn't touch on clearance issues. I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks

there will be no clearance issues with 32 inch tires on a 15x10 rim. personally i would go with a 15x8 with a 32 inch tires. But with a 33 inch tire i like 15x10. Anyways either one there will not be any clearance issues.

Thanks. The only reason is that w/ a 15x10 I can upgrade to 33's if I start getting a little more serious offroad. Right now it's my DD but that may change.

Oh OK, definatly go with the 15x10 then. Why not just go ahead and buy the 33s. Or do you already have the 32s?

I'm running 32X11.50's on 8 inch rims. No clearance issues at all. You can run 33's on 8 inch rims also and they won't stick out of stock flairs as far as 10 inch rims, really it is personal preference, either one will work just fine.

I don't have 'em yet; my sticking point is that 32's are usually 11.5" wide and 33's are 12.5" wide. If I got 33's I would be concerned that they would stick out a little too much especially with a 4" backspace. I just want to fill the wheel wells a little better than what my 31's are doing. I'd like keep the tires flush w/ the flares, not much wider though.

If you want the tires to stay under stock flares, you better go with the 8" wheels.

I prefer the 10" wheels myself, but they do stick outside the flares some, but I like the way that looks.

Screw it..! I'm going w/ 33x12.50 on 15x10's w/ 4" backspace. If they stick out a little (an inch or so) who cares. That'll just give it a wider looking stance. Thanks for all the input.

Thanks for the pics, guys. Definitely 33x12.50 and 15x10's. Maybe I'll put on those Omix extended CJ flares.
