Has anyone changed their shifter knob on the '06 6-speed? I'd like maybe to upgrade mine, but the thing won't budge. And I've changed lots of shifters and knobs in my day.
Thanks for any help.

I have no experience with the 6 speed knob, but it may be epoxyed on, in addition to the threads. If that's the case, you'll probably destroy it trying to remove it.
Even so, if you're planning on a replacement knob, it really doesn't matter what's under there, does it?

On my 04 you pry out the plastic cap with the shift pattern drawn on it with a screwdriver. Just pry between the rubber and the plastic and it should pop out. There will be a nut directly underneath that cap that you have to remove. after you get the nut off it should come right off.
