I am going to replace the shackles on my YJ, I have seen several different kinds and have noticed some have a bolt in the center and others are welded.

Which are better and why?

Anyone have any preferences in maker?

Those are definently beefy. What kind are they?

Those are definently beefy. What kind are they?I'm with Dan, I recommend the angled shackles front and rear (front and rear, I don't care if they say rear only). I also recommend the MOREs, I personally run the RE version, but pretty much only use MOREs at this point on other peoples Jeeps as the MORE units are the same price, but thicker material.

Here is Kwrangln's shackle guide. (http://bbb.quadratec.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=4;t=000604)

Personally I swear the angled shackles ride better.

Duh, I was wondering why he said MORE is better, I didn't realize they are a brand.
