ok so i got my new lift and i would like thank all of you for suggesting the rough country. by the way i got it for 475 shipped to my door (that includes tax and shipping). let me know if you want the info for the place. so, i really want to do the install myself but it will be the biggest undertaking really for me working on a vehicle. so i would be very appreciative to anyone living in the philadelphia area who would like to help. i would also appreciate pointers that cant be found in the directions. thanx

I would say that the directions in the kit should be pretty straight forward. I would recommend picking up some PB Blaster at your local hardware store to spray on and loosen some of the bolts in the stock suspension. In your TJ I would hit the swaybar links front and rear, the shock nuts, control arms, track bars (if being replaced or adjusted) and definitely the transfer case skid bolts which can be a real pain when adding T-case spacers. Soaking em' in PB a couple days before hand will make it a thousand times easier to remove the hardware.

Im too far south to help but post up pics if you ever get the lift on smile.gif

It would depend on the type (ie: suspension or body) and amount of lift. Here is a link that might help.

Thats the same one I got. I would take VTech's advice and soak the heck out of every bolt that needs to move for at least a week prior, every day go out there and gie the bolts a shot. Dont forget the pitman arm. Mine was a bear to get off there. Went through two pullers! But yeah, follow the directions, spray it all down good once a day for about a week and it should be straight forward. Tighten everything as directed too, use a torque wrench. And then double check everything in a about a week or so...

Keep the stock pitman arm and save yourself some work. If you find you need it then you can install it but I bet you won't need it.
