I got a 600 watt power inverter that came with a plug for the cigarette lighter... I plugged it in, turned it on and immediately blew a fuse.... The inverter itself had a 30watt fuse, the lighter fuse was 20... It works fine when I hook directly to the batttery thought...

My issue is, I replaced the fuse, but now my cigarette lighter jacks STILL don't work... for anything... Cell phone charger etc... I'm hoping I didn't cook a wire... thought the fuse would have protected that... Any thoughts on what else to check?

Normally its the socket itself that cooks (in my expierences), but cooking a wire is a possibility.

I'm assuming the new fuse didn't blow right away?

Sounds like either way your gonna have to tear into it.
