hey my jeep is supposed to use 75w-90 oil in the trans...but the store didn't have it, and said that it could use 80w-90 just the same, is that right??

Jeep recommends 75w90 in everything, however that being said, I always use 80w90 as it's more common and cheaper than 75w90. 75w90 around here is typically at least $1 more a quart.
80w90 is just a hair thicker than 75w90.
I'd use the 80w90.

Your AX5 should take 3.5 quarts.

hey, 1 more qustion...um, i'm not sure exactly where the plugs for draining and putting new are...i see one big plug directly under the tranny...and i think it says "do not remove"...and i think on the driver's sdie of the tranny is a plug that looks like it needs a torx...so i was wondering if those are the right plugs...also, what size socket will i need to take off that big plug underneath??
and one more Q...my buddy said he used automatic tranny oil in his tcase...is that right??
