OK... sorry so needy today... I just put in the Stage 2 Jet chip in my 06 TJ... Now I need to install the low temp thermostat... I'm SERIOUSLY challenged under the hood... The part looks pretty simple.. Can't be too hard...

Anyone want to jot down the "Thermostat Installation For Dummies" instructions? A picture as to where it goes would be helpful...

Do I need to have add antifreeze or anything after install?

OK place a catch basin under your jeep.
LOCATE THE UPPER RADIATOR TUBE. At the end nearest the engine block you should see 2 bolts that go into the front of the head. remove these bolts. Gently tap on the water neck to separate it from the head. remove the old gasket and thermostat. Assembly is the reverse of removal. when istalling the new gasket coat it on both sides with some hi temp rtv.

Dont overtighten those two bolts holding the t-stat housing on, the housing will easily crack. Just snug it up, nothing too tight. If I remember right the lower of the two bolts was kind of a pain for me because of the serpentine belt. You can work around it, so there is no sense taking it off, but its a pain.

PP,

Sent you an email. Stop by Friday evening and I'll show you how to do a t-stat.
