I just picked up a nice 83 cj5 and all the bugs went away with the basic tune up. all but two. a really sloppy shifter. cant tell if its the shifter lever it self or the 1st 2nd shifter boot.
And for the Second issue its a compression issue with the last 3 cyl.
its a 4.2 with a new msd and dis. and a holley. i am only getting about 80 psi in the cyl. no blow by no smoke and not burning oil. but there is a tick over 1700 rpm. help would be greatly appritiated.
