Got a question. i want some new wheels but i dont want them to stick out too dag-gum far.
I'm not going to do too high of a lift just yet and i'm planning on putting some 32x11.50's on new wheels (http://www.quadratec.com/products/92600_1XX_PG.htm) . Would the 3 3/4 backspace make it stick out too far? any help thanks ahead. :D

I have 31x10.5 on 3 3/4 backspaced wheels and they stick out like 2 inches past the flares...so with inch wider tires they'll stick out more obviously.

You might want to try a wheel with 4.25-4.5 back spacing. That should be enough to clear the tire with the suspension components. It's alsways a gamble when it comes to that kind of stuff- you may get a little tire rub. From what I understand most wrangler rims are 5.5 inches of backspacing from the factory.
If you had a approximate 30x9.5 inch tire on the stock 5.5 inch backspaced rims. Then you go and take away and inch of backspacing end up with 4.5 inches and a 32x11.5 tire. Theoretically that should work. Because you figure the 11.5 inch tire is about an inch wider on each side than the 9.5 inch wide tire. Like I say it's hard to know exactly what backspacing someone is going to need.
With the inch wider flares the tires should look ok. Ypou need to think about the amount of lift you have too and that may factor into your backspacing number.
here are a couple of older pics: I had 4 inch backspacing on 12.5 inch wide tires with stock flares. Now I have 6 inch flares.

Thanks luke.....you've always been a good help. ;)
I know i was talking about going to go 4" lift a while back, but i dont want to go that tall yet. i want to wait until i get another DD before i go too wild yet. Plus i'm short (5'5") and i dont want to jump everyday. but either way, thanks for your help Luke.

Dave,
I didn't see the wheels you had highligted in your first post . . .
The 4 inch backspaced Cragers would be fine. If you ever decided to go to a 33x12.5 most likely those wheels would work also. Your Rubi flares will cover up another inch of whatever sticks out too.
I think if you got the 4 inch backspaced wheels (with the 1 inch wider flares and 11.50 tire) as a guesstimate you would have about 1.5-2 inches sticking out. Which is about 50% of what I had sticking out here.

I'm an idiot, they don't have 4 inch on the chart. The 3.75 should be fine.
