I have this rattling coming from my front passenger side, sounds like its close to the wheel. It only happens when my rpms are really low (lazy shifting, i dont use 1st gear because it gets me up to about 5mph and then i shift again so i take out of second) or when i go over bumps or what not. any ideas, pics would be greatly appreciated.

does it sound like an aluminum ladder being banged around? Or is it more of a bearing/wear/grind noise? Not a clunking right?
I guess a little more information might help.
How's the inside of your catalytic converter?
My hood prop arm under the hood was rattling and making a racket- the bushings/tightness were gone. Strange I know.

The low rpm part makes me think somthing's up with the exhaust but that wouldn't be front right...check everything up there, like what luke said and your jack. One time I found one of the metal bars from my jack stuck down near the axle, it must have worked it's way out and gotten stuck...thankfully. Oh, my sister was just wondering why her car was making such a rattling noise and then she realized she had a box of silverwear in the trunk, that's a blonde for ya! Don't think that's your problem though!

its more like an aluminum ladder than a grind or anything. i've checked the jack and it seems to be pretty well in place, i hate saying this but whats a catalytic converter? i'll just the hood prop arm, but it sounds like its almost right infront of the passenger floor (not on the inside though).

The catalytic converter is this (http://offroad.dreamwiz.com/images/userdif/goods/2006080403263900.jpg)
It's connected to the pipe between the headers and the muffler, I'm not sure how you would know what the inside was like though unless you took it off, but if your's is like mine then it's all rusty and you'd have to cut it off.
I don't think there is anything right in fron of the passenger floor that would be making any noise unless it's up around the axle.
What I would do is go under your jeep (when it's cool) and look at ALL of the exhaust system and shake it and see if it makes any noise. Then do the same thing around the enging and axles.
I've had lots of rattles in my jeep, but have you checked to see if it acutally is an aluminum ladder stuck in your engine???

From what you have said it sounds like possibly two things:
1) the catalytic converter that is above your skidplate might be rattling. The catalytic converter usually has special honeycomb metals inside that basically deal with/filter out emissions/catch pollution. Sometimes these hondeycomb metals rust out or wear out and get dislodged to produce a marble or aluminum ladder noise. If you tap softly on the catalytic converter with a rubber mallet or your hand- you might be able to tell if something inside it is rattling.
2) the front exhaust pipe that goes into the catalytic converter and above the skidplate in the center of the Jeep might have broken from its support located on the front of the skiplate and is banging against the skidplate or the floor of the Jeep.
That's about all I can think of . . . maybe someone else has some information.
Rxtreme . . . brings up some really good points too.
