are all 242 4.0L HO pistons compatible or do i have to stick with my year (ie. 91 pistons compatible with 96,97 etc...)?

Ok I did some more checking, some blocks seem to be able to be bored 0.060" over, while others are 0.040" over.
91-93 pistons are the same (91-93 are available up to 0.060" over), 94-95 (94-95 are available up to 0.040" over) pistons are the same, then from what I can tell 97-up pistons are different again. I'm actually not sure what the difference is honestly, but thats what my source says.

Go with forged (best) or hypereutectic (good) pistons if you can. Cast pistons (worst) are junk and the good ones only cost a few bucks more.
