hey. i was trail riding today (took a couple pics. they're in off topic) and the bolt fell off my right sway bar link. i've been thinking of getting sway bar disconnects but i dunno what's the best ones. and i hear they're a pain in the ass to reconnect. now i'm thinking...maybe i should just keep the right side disconnected, it probably gives me better flex and seems fine on the road...i dunno...what would you guys do...it rarely sees the highway and is only driven on weekends.

Disconnects can be stubborn to reconnect, the Jeep really has to be on level ground to do it, otherwise they won't connect.
Sway bars can be a good thing, but that factory one doesn't really have a place in off-roading, the Jeep will flex better with out it. Good shocks will help with handling too when not running a swaybar.
Everyone will say the same thing, JKS are the best, but I can't say from expierence, I don't run a sway bar. My Jeep runs up the highway fine with no sway bars or track bars, and thats sitting as high as I am, its not as "tight" feeling as it was stock, but I don't mind it.

OhioYJ is right. JKS. I havent checked, but I bet Q-tec has them. If need be, ask them to pricematch, cause you may be able to find them cheaper.

I have a 92 YJ I had a 2.5 inch put in and swaybars removed I also removed the track bars. I have been driving my jeep for 4 years on and off road. I do not miss the bars at all. At 2.5 inches I would never put them back on. I am going to go to 3.5 inch lift. Now at 3.5 I may put the track bars back on. I will see how it works with out them. If You get a TJ you MUST have them.

just took off the sway bar links this morning and it's fine on the road so far,Make sure you tie that sway bar up good, I had mine fall down and bind my steering up down in Slade. That could be bad on the road.

One of my Tera discos broke ...again(top bolt and sleeve popped out and ran away this time :( )...so I have been driving for about a month without the swaybar attached...I really don't notice much difference except when it snows and the roads get icy...I am currently trying to fix the link, but I may just give up and try some JKS'. RE is supposed to have a second generation disco that is similar to the JKS but less $$$...I may have a look at them too...
