Hi all-Im hoping to get some input on a rear disc brake conversion on my 77 CJ5.First off, the rear end is a Dana44 out of a 73 CJ.Is there any easy "bolt up" that anyone knows about, that I havent seen, or is the best and easiest way to buy the kit for $750. ? As far as kits go, does anyone in here have any experience as far as buying, installing, etc? Im just trying to figure out what is best, I would need something that still has a mechanical\cable e-brake included.I swapped the front end to disc 2 yrs ago, now im rebuilding the entire Jeep, starting with a new custom built frame, so I really want to do this right. Also, would I have to change the proportioning valve or master cylinder when swapping to rear disc? I would thing the rear brake line diameter would be different....Like I said, ANY input is greatly appreciated!

Here's a writeup on how to do it yourself for cheap.

It's for a model 20, but the only difference for the 44 should be the removal of the whole backing plate instead of having to cut it.
