ok guys, i need some advice.... how does this look, my gears had no install instructions, my install kits didnt either, i used a Quadratec catalog exploded view of a dana 35 and a little mechanical sense...this is my first tme doing this and what a damn headache... the front dana 30 has been the biggest pain i had to remove my steering stabilizer and tie rod and drag link.... but i hope this is ok my backlash is pretty tigh with very very little play.
these are the links to the pictures ineed an opinion on...thanks again

First picture a Dana 35 the second a Dana 30? Or is it the same axle?
If its the same axle, the coast side of the gear looks a little off to me, but then the drive side doesn't look to bad from what I can see in the picture. If it is pictures from the same axle, I would guess your pinion may be a little to close (not to bad though).
Of course that is based on assuming that both picture are the same gear, one shot of the coast side, one shot of the drive side. So what is picture one of, and what is picture two of?

Assuming #2 is the drive side, I think the pattern is too close to the OD of the gear, it should be more centered. Back lash looks good, but I think the pinion may need a little more shim to move it deeper into the ring gear. The trick is getting the bearing back off to add more shim without tearing up the bearing. And from your comment, I hope you did find specs to use.

It could be the way the picture looks, but I thought 2 looked like the coast side, 1 looked like the drive side? Or is it the angle of the picture throwing me?

Its an install manual from Yukon gear, its sort of generic, but its got specs and gear patterns in the back.
